Who we are
API Community Belgium is an independent, volunteer-led community for integration and API practitioners in Belgium. You can contact us at hi@apicommunity.be.
What personal data we collect
We only collect information that is useful for running the community, such as your name, email address, organisation, role, event registration details, contact form messages and partnership or speaker enquiries. If you subscribe for updates, we use your email address to send news about meetups, forums and related community events.
Why we use it
We use personal data to respond to messages, manage event communication, send event updates when you ask for them, coordinate speakers and partners, improve our activities and meet basic administrative or legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Where data may be processed
We may use trusted service providers for email, event registration, website hosting, analytics or community platforms. These providers may process data on our behalf and only for the purposes described above. External event or social platforms you choose to use may also have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep data
We keep data only for as long as needed for the community purpose it was collected for. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Event, speaker and partner records may be kept longer where useful for community history, follow-up or administration.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to certain processing, restrict processing or withdraw consent where we rely on consent. To make a request, email hi@apicommunity.be.
Changes
We may update this policy when our website, event formats or tools change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
